THE SOGGY BARN RAMP

THE SOGGY BARN RAMP

While on Vancouver Island during Volume 11: “Hellbound In Clayoquot Sound” our boat captain, @rycamz, mentioned that he skated a lot when younger and that he had a ramp in his barn. With a perpetual dampness common in the Pacific Northwest and the fact that we were on a boat most of the time, skateable spots for Jamie Thomas were hard to come by. Back upon land, we shook off our sea legs and inspected the barn ramp. Needless to say the PNW dampness found its way into the barn and onto the ramp coupled with years of neglect, creating a soggy but somewhat skateable ramp. Jamie fired up a blow torch and proceeded to dry out the ramp, sand the coping and made the most of it while the rest of the savages warmed themselves externally by a bon fire and internally by passing the whiskey while watching Jamie.
